This past weekend I decided to take Caleb to his favorite place of all time….Seaworld. I figured since I don’t have pics for the Legoland aquarium, that I could supplement with Seaworld pics. Lol. First off we got there at 9:15 thinking it opened at 9 or 9:30 but the park didn’t open until 10am. So for 45 minutes we hung out with the horses and gift shop.
Once the park opened, our first attraction was the penguins! Caleb just loved watching the penguins jumping and swimming around that we literally went through it 4 times. One penguin only had one fin and some other family shouted “It’s Lefty!” so Caleb copied them and shouted “Lefty! Lefty!” but he had no idea what Lefty was. Lol. I had to explain to him and show him the penguin only had one fin and he looked a little disturbed and confused. Afterwards we saw the puffins and went right through the giftshop without having to buy any toys thank goodness.
As we were walking we stopped by the Sea Lions. Caleb just laughed and laughed as the Sea Lions were fighting over the fish being thrown to them.
Next we made our way over to the sharks and the manatees. The sharks were acting a bit crazy because for some reason one of them attacked one of the fishes that normally swim with them and then all of them started to get in on the action and it became a feeding frenzy. Caleb was a little upset because he saw the fish head floating around and he said “That’s not nice!” In the Manatee exhibit they were feeding them as well but they eat lettuce which was a lot nicer to watch. Caleb just kept singing “Barbara Manatee!” (song from Veggietales)
Our next stop was the stingrays. Caleb used to be afraid of these things but this time he went right up to the tank and reached his hand in to touch them. I was very impressed and he just hung out petting the stingrays as they flapped on by.
Next were the dolphins. The dolphins were in a good mood just jumping and playing. It’s funny because Caleb just stood there watching them with a puzzled look on his face as if he was trying to figure out what they were doing and how they were able to get out of the water and so high in the air like that.
Lastly was the infamous Shamu. Caleb ran to the tank shouting “Shamu! Shamu!” and everytime Shamu would come by he would say “Wow Momma. Take my picture!”
We had an awesome day despite the rain and we even got out without a fit or tantrum or having to spend any money on toys and food. Definitely an awesome date for me and the love of my life.
