Full of Hello Kitty!

Sooo...we had two birthday parties to attend this past weekend and both were Hello Kitty themed! The first Hello Kitty themed birthday party was for dear sweet Mariah Howard who was turning 7yrs old. It started at 4pm and lasted til 6pm although we had to leave early to attend the OTHER Hello Kitty party. When we got to Mariah's party it was fully decorated in Hello Kitty decor and had kid's music playing in the background. The snacks were fruit consisting of strawberries, watermelon, and apples along with some veggies with dip and goldfish crackers. The first activity we did was the Hello Kitty bean bag toss which I have to give props to Mariah's mom Kristen for doing such a fabolous job. Caleb seemed to really enjoy this game:

After the bean bag toss we moved over to the next activity which was pin the bow on Hello Kitty. Caleb was a little short for this one but he made Hello Kitty's feet really pretty with the bow. :)

Next came cake time in which Caleb sat very patiently for.

When the cake came out the kids gathered around to celebrate and sing Happy birthday to sweet Mariah.

After Caleb inhaled the cake we had to say goodbye so that we could head over the second Hello Kitty party. We had such a good time with Mariah and her friends and family!

2ND HELLO KITTY PARTY:

Now this Hello Kitty party was for a little girl named Itzel who was turning 4. She is the daughter of my mom's friend from work. The party started at 3:30pm but we didn't get there until 5:45pm. When we got there we could tell it was going to be a little different than what we had just experienced with Mariah. This one had a dj that played fiesta music extremely loud as if we were at a club. It was very hard to hear anyone so we sat as far in the back as we could..AWAY from the loudness. Caleb was not happy with the noise level. Lol. We ate a spicy shredded beef with tortillas, beans, and rice. Caleb ate...DORITOS. Two hours after we ate, they had pinata time for the kids. Caleb was really excited about this!

It was filled with Mexican candy so Caleb didn't really enjoy that. He did find one lollipop he liked and ate that. They had two pinatas so we had to wait a while before this activity was over. About 8pm it was cake time and goodie bags time. Caleb went up to get his goodie bag:

It had M&M's and some spicy cheetos and other Mexican candies in which Caleb only ate the M&M's. He tried the cheetos (we thought they were regular at first) and got upset when his mouth was on fire. Lol. The cake was really beautiful and very yummy. It was a tres leches cake which they served with a fruit salad. We finally left right after and headed home talking about the two Hello Kitty parties we were just at and laughing at how extremely different the two were. Good times!

Awesome weekend!

This weekend was a fun filled weekend for both Caleb and I. On Saturday Caleb spent half of the day with his favorite uncle Morgan while I went to Swan Canyon to help do some cleanup and restoration. It was my first volunteer event having to really work and I have to say it was so much fun. I truly enjoyed gardening. Planting and pulling weeds were actually fun for me. Lol. Caleb had a great time playing with the boys at home and nana. When my event was over I went to pick Caleb up and he said he wanted to go to the zoo. Sure..why not. So we went to the zoo to see the new Polar Bear Plunge and kill some time before dinner. I didn't see much of a difference with the Polar Bears so I wasn't really impressed but it was fun anyways. Caleb seemed to like playing with the kids in the polar caves and pretending with them that there were animals coming to eat them. Lol. Sunday we did church and then went to Mission Trails for a hike. Then we spent the rest of the time playing Kingdom Hearts, eating sour cream, and a bunch of dark chocolate! Lol...now that's what I call an awesome weekend! :)

Happy Easter!

This year Caleb and I were invited to an easter egg hunt at Poinsettia Park by Tita Tabby and Mymy. It was a crazy event that was packed and sold out! They had carnival rides, boat rides, tractor rides, a petting zoo, crafts, and a dancefloor with a live dj! The easter egg hunt consisted of plastic eggs filled with candy and some were filled with tickets that you could redeem for prizes. Caleb was one of the lucky ones and got free Mcdonalds. He wasn't a fan of the carnival rides but he sure did love the bouncy obstacle course and slides!

The petting zoo was my favorite. The animals were the cutest I've ever seen! They had baby goats, baby bunnies, ducks, chickens, sheep, and a pig! Caleb really enjoyed the animals and we didn't want to leave but we had to hurry to the easter egg that was getting ready to start.

Caleb and Mymy had a really good time hanging out like always. They even had a playground there that they played on for quite some time. That's actually how Caleb got into trouble at the end. He wouldn't listen to me as I said it was time to go and he actually took off and ran away from me refusing to listen. So he had his toys taken away that day and was only allowed to read books the entire day and night. He wasn't a happy camper but our Easter was a good one nonetheless. :)

Let's go for a walk

Caleb and I take frequent walks throughout the neighborhood just to get out of the house and to get some exercise. I remembered Caleb had a coupon to get some free yogurt at The Golden Spoon so we decided to take a walk there. Caleb seems to really enjoy nature because every time we go for a walk he says "Oooh...look momma, pretty flowers." or "Look momma, trees and leaves!" and sometimes he says "Look what Jesus made momma!" and he will be fascinated with a bush or a pinecone. Lol. So he did his usual of pointing out trees, flowers, bushes, grass, and pinecones.

When we reached the crosswalk Caleb felt he was big enough to push the button so I allowed him to do his thang. Lol.

Finally we reached The Golden Spoon and got our free small yogurt. The only problem was....it was just the yogurt that was free...toppings were extra. So I got the yogurt and Caleb asked "Where's the sprinkles?" I had to tell him that there were no more. Lol. He looked confused and started to eat the plain yogurt thinking about what I had just said. Apparently the lack of sprinkles didn't bother him because he ate it all up.

On the way home we came across a bus stop. Caleb wanted to sit and pretend to be waiting for the bus. There was a poster next to him with a bunch of people sticking up their thumbs which I'm not sure why but he thought it was funny and decided to be like them.

So then I joined in on the fun:

We had such a great time walking and talking that later on in the day he asked if we could do it again. Of course i was tired and told him next time and then chose to eat a bunch of sour cream and play Kingdom Hearts. What a great Sunday! :)

Seaport Village

Today, Caleb and I went to Seaport Village to have a picnic and enjoy the beautiful weather we were having. As we arrived, Caleb kept saying "What a beautiful day momma!" and I agreed. We first sat with the ducks at the pond and had hot dogs, cheesy pringles, and carrots. We saw a group of baby ducklings but silly me didn't take any pictures! After our lunch we made our way over to the shops. Caleb was more interested in the toys but there was one place we both had a passion for...The Wyland gallery. Caleb was so mesmerized with all of the whale, dolphin, shamu, fish, and shark paintings and sculptures. He was very good not to touch and I explained to him that it was Art. Next he wanted to visit the seashell shop and really enjoyed all of the starfish, shells, and seahorses filling each of the bins. He was also very good at not touching or handling the ones he could touch very delicately. Next stop was the Music Box shop. He loves snowglobes and so do I so we spent some time playing with all of the music boxes and snowglobes. Afterwards we took a walk on the pier and looked at the boats and kites flying around. Caleb really enjoyed Seaport Village and kept saying how beautiful everything was. From the sculptures, to the fountains, to the music, gift shops, ducks, people, and food...today was another awesome date. I love my moo. :)

Caleb really enjoyed the boats.

Caleb wanted to take a picture on this bench for some reason...

Caleb found this table fascinating because it's painted with flowers.

Woah...Swordfish!

Pull Caleb, pull!

Caleb trying to figure out where we are on the map.
